Ingrid Odermatt wins Swiss Society of Biomedical Engineering student award
Ingrid Odermatt received the 2020 Student Award of the Swiss Society of Biomedical Engineering (SSBE). In her master thesis she investigated the effects of embodiment and multimodal information on motor performance in immersive virtual reality. She could show that high levels of body ownership over a virtual body and congruence of information are associated with better performance. These findings may contribute to the development of virtual reality set ups in neurorehabilitation.
