Gabrielle Zbären

Curriculum Vitae

Gabrielle Zbären joined the Neural Control of Movement lab as a PhD student in August 2019. She holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Fribourg. In 2016, she obtained a MRes in Cognitive Neuroscience from University College London (UCL). She conducted her master thesis at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging, where she studied the effects of psilocybin on resting-state brain connectivity. To do so, she used a Bayesian framework to infer on the neuronal states generating measured fMRI signals. In 2018, Gabrielle obtained a MSc in Neural Systems & Computations from ETH and the University of Zurich. Her second master thesis was carried out at the Translational Neuromodeling Unit. The aim was to characterize the computational mechanisms and brain regions involved in the mismatch negativity, by simulating an observer’s beliefs using a Bayesian model of learning and perception.

PhD Project
