Curriculum Vitae

Ingrid Odermatt joined the Neural Control of Movement Lab as a PhD student in June 2020. She received a B. Sc. and M. Sc. in Psychology from the University of Bern. After her bachelor studies she gained clinical experience in a clinic for musculoskeletal rehabilitation and in a clinic for sleep medicine. She carried out her master thesis in the Motor Learning and Neurorehabilitation Lab at the ARTORG Center of the University of Bern. In this project she investigated how embodiment of a virtual body and congruence of multimodal information are associated with motor performance in immersive virtual reality.

Research Interests

Ingrid is interested in the representations of cognitive and motor functions in the human brain, especially neuroplasticity due to learning new tasks or restoring functions after brain injury. Her current research focuses on the understanding of neural changes evoked by learning a motor imagery neurofeedback task.
