Tommaso Albizzati
Curriculum Vitae
Tommaso completed his Master’s degree in Neuroscience at the University of Trieste in 2022. During his studies, he spent a semester at the University of Milan, writing his thesis on the role of the peripheral nervous system in modulating subthalamic activity in Parkinson's Disease. Afterward, he completed an eight-month internship at the Danish Research Center for Magnetic Resonance in Copenhagen, where he explored the use of non-invasive brain stimulation and electroencephalography to study dysfunctional circuit dynamics in cortico-basal ganglia projections under various pathological conditions. Tommaso joined the NCM lab in April 2024.
Research Interests
Tommaso's research concentrates on brain circuits involved in motor fatigability, with a particular focus on the interactions between regions across hemispheres. He is especially interested in the potential of brain stimulation techniques, such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), to explore and influence corticospinal circuits.external page
